Album Notes
Fuasi and Ensemble is a Jazz quartet which has been performing in and around Germany, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal and France since its founding in 1995. The group is composed of musicians from American(USA) and European origins. Together they have created a unique sound which is identifiable from the first notes they play. Their music comes from the influences of "Blues", "Hard Bop", "Eastern", "African" and "Funk" which creates a music full of spirit, depth and energy. All of our CDs have been of 'live' recordings (except one..."The Abakua"). The audience is the first and last to hear this creation of sound. Just as one master musician (Eric Dolphy) once was quoted as saying, "Once music is played in the air, it can never be heard again". We feel that the live recordings are the closest our audience can listen to us if they don't have the chance to hear us in a live concert. So in that same tradition of thought, we would like to offer our music to you which represents our 'live' contributions on our CDs...conveying the energy and love we have to share with our listeners. We believe you will enjoy our musical spirit which is delivered to the heart as well as the head.
