Xi Shi Fantasy

Fu-Tong Wong's latest collaboration with Taiwanese pianist Chiao-Han Liao, who plays the same gorgeous melodies of Wong's previous works, but in a crisp and mellow piano tone. A worthwhile album that deserves many times of listening.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album encompasses Fu-Tong Wong's most important works in piano arrangements, whether it be art songs/poems, a symphony based on a kung-fu novel, a concerto based on a legendary beauty, or creative pieces originated from Taiwanese aborigine folk songs. Although there are a variety of themes, one thing in common - is they are all written and played from the heart. Being a classical music composer at modern times, especially in East Asia (which is not the easiest thing to do), what keeps Wong motivated is the belief that good music (and poem) could, and should be enjoyed and loved by many, regardless of background, language, and level of music training.
