ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Gabe Rosenn plays modern blues-rock guitar...Hailing from the Boston area, he moved to LA in 2007 after living in New York City for five years, and graduating Vassar College in 2000. Gabe's influences range from rock giants- Hendrix, Clapton, and Jimmy Page to newer talents- Derek Trucks (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Allman Bros), Doyle Bramhall II (Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd), and jazz legends, John Schofield, Miles Davis, and Sonny Rollins. Other recent influences include Ben Harper, the Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr, the Beastie Boys, and the White Stripes.

Blending blues, rock, jazz, and funk; the Gabe Rosenn Band, is an active part of the LA blues and rock scene, and has performed at the House of Blues, Viper Room, Whisky A Go Go, Rose City Rocks Festival, maintained a year long residency at Tantalum restaurant, and played the Living Room in New York City. The GRB has competed three times in the Int'l Blues Competition, placing fourth in 2011. Since its formation in 2007, the band has recorded three albums- Nine Blues, 2008, (as Los Devastrados), California Soul, 2010, and the New Directions EP 2012. Rosenn also performs with Big Joe Hurt and the Soul Junkies.

The players in the GRB rotate but typically include Drew Allsbrook-bass, David Cowan- drums; though sometimes include Alex Romero- bass, Jens Kuross or Christopher Allis on drums.
