Album Notes
George Galiano Trio is David Jensen/Saxophone, Larry Grenadier / Acoustic bass and Jeff Ballard/ Drums. They first met while students at San Jose State in California, where they jammed into the late nights, and spent many hours perfecting their outgoing messages on their answering machines, featuring their heroes, Joe Henderson, and Wayne Shorter. Jensen began using his Nicaraguan born mothers maiden name Galiano, after moving to Denmark. He met up with percussionist/rapper "Nappy G", sound engineer Hiro Sanada and keyboard player Itaal Shur( Grammy Winner Carlos Santana /Smooth) when he joined the soul driven Groove Collective. Also a special guest appearance from trumpet player , Eddie Henderson , whom he toured with along with Al Foster, for the Miles Davis Retrospective in europe 2006. This is David Jensen's debut cd as George Galiano. Original Compositions recorded at Boom Boom Studios, 187 Lafayette Street, New York, Feb 22, 2007.
