ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jim West's songs on Face 2 Face are reflective numbers about life. Compared with their 2nd release, Legacy, Face 2 Face offers introspective takes on views of life, love, and friendship. The opening track "Do You Know Me?" invites you to the journey to explore this Unanswered Question. "The Last Thing I Remember" reflects on a time when the duo's friendship was challenged by a long separation. "The Other Side" and "On Our Way Alone" are about going to work in Downtown Chicago, the long train ride and commute to the office. "It's in Front of Me" and "Daylight Faltering" address issues of what our place in the world is. The second half starts the process of discovery, with the slowly building rocker "I Said Love" making a statement. "Son Is Gone" and "I Will Go My Way" show that the question has been answered, only to reach a point of doubt with "Looming Contradictions." The paradox is resolved with the ballad "What I Am." The serene acoustic "Mountaintop" closes the album.
