ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Geoffrey Keane began writing songs in the mid-70's just after graduating college, having just learned how to play guitar recently. He was a cellist from age 10, who converted to guitar playing, his brother Brian having set an an example for him to follow. Having mastered technique early due to accomplished cello playing, Geoffrey began learning jazz chords early on, from his brother, who was performing with Larry Coryell at the time. Geoffrey wrote a string of (folk-rock-jazz) tunes in his early twenties, which he later worked out vocal harmonies for with two female singers, and some of the recordings of these songs, which were influenced by his great love of Crosby, Stills and Nash, and other bands that used three and four-part harmony, are on his "Songs from My Past" CD. Geoffrey's most recent album is mostly a digitally edited and enhanced release of some of his previous recordings, along with his newest song, "On the Outside." All of Geoffrey's music can be listened to at the Smashsongs site where he has several albums. If you email him at gkeane33@aol.com, he will gladly send you a link to his Smashsongs page which you can click on any song and play it.
