About Swing Ukulele:
The 1930s and 40s were a magical time in the history of popular music. Swing was mainstream.

The syncopated, danceable, harmonically rich sounds were heard everywhere - radio, movies, and and dance halls.

The Ukulele swings. It sits nicely "in the pocket" of the rhythm section and shines as a soloist in the spotlight.

The music is in this man
What impresses me about Mr. Ross is that the instrument he is playing is irrelevant, although I am in love with the uke and the things it can do. The music is in this man and will come out regardless of the medium used. It just so happens the tool he is using is the ukulele.

If you are interested in taking your playing to the next level, then this CD is must have to your collection.

One can only hope that Mr. Ross will be contacted by Homespun or Guitar Workshop to make a teaching DVD, which I would purchase in a second!

YOU WON'T BE SORRY...
The ukulele is not a toy and Gerald Ross proves it! What a beautiful collection of songs performed by a true artist. This man takes music seriously and you will enjoy turning your friends 'on' to Gerald's collection. All music lovers will enjoy this CD and if you like jazz...you MUST add this to your collection. Perfect 'easy listening' not to mention a wonderful song to cut-the-rug with!

What a joyful CD!
Can't stop listening to this one. A great way to start the day. Arranged beautifully, played flawlessly, and it just SWINGS. Just the right selection of unforgettable tunes that you never tire of hearing especially the way Gerald presents them.
