ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born to a musical family Geri was listening to and singing jazz standards before she picked up the flute at 9 and began playing classically. Soon she began studying with some of the greatest flutists of the Golden Era and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Dubbed a natural by Claude Monteux, she was born with the ability to play anything she heard spontaneously with her own signature. Geri is one of the first true crossover flutists of her era, playing Jazz, Classical and Rock with equal aplomb. She has performed in most of the Atlantic City casinos as well as with Grammy Award winning World Folk Band, "Inca Son", and at many peace gatherings. Constantly reinventing herself, the spiritual aspects of the flute have served as a vehicle and solution to various life adventures.
