Album Notes
Ghalep started his career on radio&TV in Jordan.He was in such demand that he stayed for 11 years.He traveled all over the Middle East playing for the top entertainers as Sabah, Nadia Gamal, Abdel Halim Haifez,Fifi Abdo and for royalty, the rich and famous.
He moved to the USA in the 1980's where he circuited the hottest nightclubs in New York including the El Darwich,Cedars of Lebanon,Sinbad's and Alladin.He assisted many Middle Eastern dance instructors such as Bobby Farah,Yousry Shariff in teaching their students complex Middle Eastern rhythms.He also spent time in LA's Ali Baba and SanFrancisco's El-Basha.Gabby also had the honor of performing at the Cedars of Lebanon nightclub with Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant.
Gabby moved to Arizona 1996 where he continues to play and accompany belly dancers in the studio and out at private parties.He has ongoing classes to teach drum and assist belly dancers understand Middle Eastern rhythms
Gabby plays only classical Egyptian music and he teaches the classical Egyptian style.

I BOUGHT THIS LOCALLY AND I TOOK LESSONS FROM HIM.EXCELLENT TEACHER AND PATIENT WITH ME.HE TAUGHT ME ALL THE BASICS RHYTHMS.HIS CD MIRRORS HIS TEACHING TECHNIQUES.PLUS HE IS AN AWESOME DRUMMER THAT ALSO SINGS THE CLASSICAL SONGS TO HELP YOU LEARN RHYTHMS AND MUSIC. A MUST HAVE FOR BEGINNER DRUMMERS.
