ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Formed in Portland, OR in august of 2001. Alex Meade, with a previously recorded demo, met Pete Bryant. Pete then laid down new bass lines and the two began to create new material for the collective project. Alex's background of noise/melody writing and Pete's intricate bass playing continued while seeking a percussionist with the right feel and balance. After trying out many drummers, the band met focused drummer, Brian Netherton. With a common taste for inventive rock music, Glance Failed employs odd-timed distorted harmonies blended with melodic vocals. As of 03', Alex and Pete have been implementing the use of alto sax and trumpet. These instruments will be on the latest tunes as well as performed at live venues. The project's non-traditional tastes and style range from a subtle current to an abrasive clamor.

CD Baby

A half-swirled, half-baked dish of some very complementary ingredients; noise, math rock, hard emo, punk, grunge, and even the odd dash of acid jazz and progressive rock along with a variety of unclassified wild cards, making this some of the most unpredictable and original rock to hit the desks at CD Baby in quite some time. Those who like their rock rough, unpolished, and anti-mainstream have found a friend in Glance Failed.

The Smart Listener's Choice
The rough around the edges intricacy of the music on this album seeps it's way into your consciousness like few artists can. The orginality of the grooves and instrumentation make this the smart listener's choice.

Totally Chaotic but works!
Really liked this one. Found it exciting and original.
