ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tomorrow Is Today is the debut album by Glenn Thomas. The 14 songs on this powerful and soulful album take the listener on a journey through a number of musical styles.

The first song, Taller Than The Trees, is a heavy, bluesy rocker about the loss of innocence. The singer reflects on a past love before she got hardened to the world, back when she had big dreams and was "taller than the trees." The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas except that the drums are performed by John Guest.

The second song, Tomorrow Is Today, is a swingin, hard-driving piano piece about hope. The singer comforts a girl who's been knocked down. The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas except that the drums are performed by John Guest.

The third song, Something Strange About You, is a folksy acoustic/organ driven song about a man reflecting on a long lost love. The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas.

The fourth song, Free To Be, is a heavy, bluesy, hard-driving rock and roll song about a man encouraging his woman to get on with her life. The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas except that the drums are performed by John Guest.

The fifth song, Sixteen Times, is a bluesy Indian chant about a man who lets his woman know that he's in love with her no matter what--even though she's been married "sixteen times and maybe more." The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas.

The sixth song, Stay, is a short, emotional acoustic guitar and vocal piece in which the singer tells his girl to stay or risk losing the relationship. The vocals and guitar are performed by Glenn Thomas.

The seventh song, Mean Old Man, is a funny yet serious song about a man who is all alone and trying to convince others that his solitude aint so bad. The song is filled with hooks. The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas except that the drums are performed by Dennis Jones, who also sings harmony throughout.

The eighth song, Stupid Things, is a hard-driving rock and roll song about a party girl who is unaware of all the stupid things she does. The vocals and all the music are performed by Glenn Thomas except that the drums are performed by John Guest.

The ninth song, Daisy, is a hooky rock and roll song about sexual excess. The guitars and vocals on this song and the next are performed by Glenn Thomas; the bass and backing vocals on this song and the next are performed by Scott Boettcher; and the drums on this song and the next are performed by Dave Something.

The tenth song, Change, is a melodic rock and roll song about introspection.

The eleventh song, Lucy's Song, is an acoustic song about a person questioning his bizarre existence. The vocals and guitar are performed by Glenn Thomas. The cello is performed by Mauriel Ojeda.

The twelfth song, Gone, is a bluesy piano/organ song about a man hightailing out of town to escape a bad relationship. The vocals and all music are performed by Glenn Thomas.

The thirteenth song, Throw My Bones, is a folksy ballad about a man coming back "to the only girl he tried to love." The vocals and all music are performed by Glenn Thomas.

The fourteenth song, Fur Alessandra, is a melodic piano piece that evokes the Romantic era of classical music.
