"A little masterpiece. You'll have a hard time trying to find a comparable sound on today's Yiddish music scene." (Nuernberger Nachrichten)
On their second album, global shtetl band adventurously takes their deep Yiddish and klezmer music roots to even newer shores. Soaking up inspirations from the mountains of Poland through the dancehalls of Cuba to the streets of Manhattan, and adding fabulous woodwinds to form global shtetl orkester, the band takes a huge leap forward by presenting almost exclusively orginal Yiddish lyrics and new, fresh compositions. A very personal, poetic, and powerful statement from a stupendously creative band.
