Continuing the incredible GOLDISC Records From The Vault Series
This brand new release includes some songs never released on CD before and presented here for the first time in Digital format.
This release starts off with the great Tonight I Fell In Love by The Tokens a great dance song. A national favorite.
From the Carlton records vault, The Dreamers' "Canadian Sunset", a rare up-tempo version of this standard.
This collection includes a great ballad by The Originals singing "You And I" from the Diamond label, a record that scored in the Eastern USA.
The Capitol’s ballad "Angel Of Love" from the Pet records vault, a great New York ballad and "Starlight" by The Preludes Five an up-tempo song that received strong plays in the Eastern half of the US.
To slow things up a bit, The Quin Tones come back with their second release “There’ll Be No Sorrow”, a great girl group sounding very much like The Chantels on this ballad.
The Five Satins come back with their up-tempo novelty love song “Skippity Doo”, the flip side of “When Your Love Comes Along” featured on Goldisc From The Vault Vol. 5.
The Dreamtones from Connecticut are represented with their ballad “Stand Beside Me” that features their bass voice, a different kind of lead vocal that catches your ear.
Featured here for the first time in any format is The Ravenaires (formerly The Rivieras) on the Algonquin label from the Goldner stable of imprints with their rocker “Together, Forever”. A regional hit.
Rounding out this set are The Isley Brothers who recorded “This Is The End” for Mark X, a medium paced ballad that is almost country flavored.
Production Note: All sources are from the original session master tapes recorded at that time.
