Album Notes
Drummer/percussionist Greg Holloway is a native from Washington, DC where he received an undergraduate degree in Music Education and Percussion Performance from Howard University. He also participated in summer jazz programs at Eastman School of Music. He later pursued Masters in JazzDrumming/Percussion Methodology and Masters in Science (Counseling with Music Emphasis) from the University of LaVerne in Sounthern California.

Greg was a member of various prestegious US Air Force Bands. During his career, Greg was instrumental in developing standards for skill level development and audition requirements. Although emphasis has been on jazz drumming, Greg is considered very well rounded. His performance ranges from Principal Timpanist with the Anchorage Symphony to show drummer percussionist in Palm Springs backing artist like Blackstone the Magician, Sherry Lewis, The Maguire Sisters and Rich Little. Greg has also played with Carl Fontanna, Jim Pugh, Gene Bertincini, Freda Payne, Bruce Conti, Bud Shank, Rob McConnel, Chuck Israel, La Mont Johnson, Sista' Monica Parker and others. He is currently endorsing REMO drum heads.

Full Circle is a acoustic hard swinging project with creative arrangments, fresh solos and sensitive interaction between the trio! The recording features Jon Ozment on Piano and Pepe Gonzales on Bass. The collective reveals a fresh approach to trio jazz!

Drummer Greg Holloway is no hog for spotlight. He reminds me of Max Roach in cr
Pianist Jon Ozment playes with plenty of gusto, with overtones on T. Monk. He is playfully hard-hitting, judicious and angular. Jon also presents an essence of Vince Guaraldi-bright and jaunty! Bassist Pepe Gnzales is the Anchor providing a true solid foundation. Greg swings hard. He is a true leader contributing a majority of compositions and arrangements. A tru fine slice of straight-ahead, bristy hard-bop.

Full circle is a fine slice of straight-ahead, bristly hard-bop!

The CD is Swingin' from the new school of Hard Bop!
