Sexy guitar + hot beats!!
I love this album. The Latin guitar is the main "voice" in most of the songs, and his playing has a passion that's romantic. But this isn't a mellow CD, because Greg Simon is really into a kind of DJ thing, making all these really cool beats you just have to dance, smile, and just have a chilled time with.

I can't find any of his earlier releases, so I hope he stays inspired because this is good music!

Outstanding CD fused with ethnic sounds and beats
Who would have thought electronica and relaxing could be used in the same sentence? Well, it can when you pop in “EthnikElectrika” by Greg Simon. The talented musician does an outstanding job with his most recent album by fusing ethnic sounds with beats you would hear on any weekend in a club on Sunset Blvd. “La Bossa Love” features some magnificent melodic Spanish guitar work and sets the tone for the whole record. Branching away from the “Spanish” tones, Simon throws in some nicely played Indian ragas on the track “Joyfest.” If you are someone who loves those classic “Buddha Bar” collections, than you will love hearing “EthnikElectrika.”

Congratulations on GrIndie Award

Good guitar music that's easy to listen to
Lots to like here. The songs are well-written and each have a distinct vibe to them, and Greg Simon's guitar playing is excellent. Standout tracks for me are Heartbeats, La Bossa Love, Bonjeet, and Joyfest. He changes direction throughout the record, yet everything flows in this nice ethnic lounge sound. The other thing I noticed is the overall "sound"; this is well-produced music.

Uplifting, joyful music to move and groove to. This artist is in touch with the Goddess.
