Album Notes
At a small school in Tauranga, New Zealand two children and their music teacher were looking for ideas for a new original song for the school rock band GreVouS to play. Looking for something current and relevant to their lives, they chose to write about Marmite and how much they were missing it. Their music teacher, also rather awesome on the guitar, came up with a catchy riff and so "Marmite" was created. Interest in the song grew. Local musician and producer, Dean Taylor-Levey came on board to offer his time, expertise and recording studio, The Project Studios, to record the song so it could be played on the school radio station and a music video could also be made. The children in the school loved the song and now can be heard singing along whenever it is played. recently a music video has also been made to accompany the song.
