ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It's been a long time coming! Paull E. Rubin (dobro, vocals) & Robert Perales (ukelele & lead vocals) first started playing together while in the "LeGrand String Band" backing up National Banjo Open Champion (1984) Richard LeGrand. After having played 80-three hour shows with the late great Tenor Banjo Master, Robert & Paull continued to play together as the "Guinness Bros!", fondly recalling their tenure with Mr. LeGrand & their copious consumption of the popular Irish brew, hence the name of the duo. They've spent hundreds of hours jamming on the front porch at Robert's house in Santa Barbara, California on old time standard jazz tunes, blues, rags, rock favorites & show tunes. They have amassed a tremendous repetoire of fine music that has spread from the porch to local clubs & regional clubs, private events and have finally preserved a set of these songs on a recording made right on the porch where it all began.
