Michael Gurley – Vocals and Guitar
Michael Gurley’s musical talents have been featured with several successful rock bands including dada and Butterfly Jones. In his 20-year career, he has sold over a million records and played with artists such as Sting and Ringo Starr. Michael’s extensive resume includes composing the themes for “The Brady Bunch” movie, and "American Dragon" television series. His new Christmas Album entitled "I Ain't Gonna Sit On Santa's Lap" was recently released and is available at the mikegurleyandthenightcaps.com. website. He and John Gilmore, long time friends, have been recording and performing together for over 10 years.
John Gilmore – Piano and Vocals
John Gilmore for many years was the resident pianist at the Tam O’Shanter Inn of Glendale. An extremely versatile musician, John has toured the country accompanying numerous Broadway performers in their cabaret and concert venues, including singers from the New York Metropolitan and Los Angeles Opera Companies. As a composer and arranger, his work has been featured in many motion pictures and television programs. John has worked for or served on the boards of the Playboy Jazz Festival, the Pacific Composers’ Forum and the Burbank Performing Arts Committee.
Michael Polcino - Bass
Michael Polcino recently returned from a five country Eastern European tour with the Santa Monica Chamber Orchestra. He is a resident bassist for the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra and a director on the TV series "The Simpsons".
Phil Leavitt – Drums
Phil Leavitt is a former member of the Las Vegas cast of “The Blue Man Group”. Along with being the drummer for Michael Gurley’s two other bands, dada and Butterfly Jones he is an accomplished voiceover artist. He is the narrator for the emmy nominated program “Fearless” on The Outdoor Life Network.
The Nightcaps currently feature 2 CD’s, “Champagne, Champagne” and “Euphoria” with original works in the style of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett. A third CD "Mango Martini" is currently in production.
