Just like the Cuban artist Habano, who lives and performs in Germany since 1990. Habano was born and grew up in Havanna. He was taught percussion by Joaquín Pozo, the grandson of the legendary Chano Pozo from the Dizzy Gillespie Band. After Habano emigrated to Hamburg, he formed the traditional “Sol y Son” Group and later the Salsa Hip-Hop Trio “Puros Habanos”. After organizing several events such as the “Fiesta Cubana” in the Hamburger Factory, he moved to Berlin to Produce his own music.
On his first CD “Made in Cuba” , elements of Cuban Hip-Hop are fused together with the Spanish, English and German Hip-Hop language. A new star revealed in the Euro-Cuban Hip-Hop scene.
MADE IN CUBA – Habano's first Solo Album not only represents Cuban Hip-Hop, is a kind of Afrocuban All Stars in this recording are one of the best cuban musicians living in Havana and Berlin.
“Crossover is the new trend in the music industry today. Crossover also tells my story – the story of an entire generation”.
The Cuban artist HABANO describes this in his solo album “Made in Cuba”.

The 16-piece compilation is the result of two hard years work, produced and directed by HABANO himself. Except for the R&B version “Dos Gargenias” and Hip-Hop version “Guantanamera”, all songs come from HABANO.
