ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Welcome! My name is Hal Enlow and I’m a guitar player/ songwriter. This new collection is entitled “Songs From The New Rabble, Volume 1”. These songs have actually been with me for quite a while, and have morphed over time into their present form. It would be fair to say that they represent my life and views in a very real way. It’s my hope that they may also find resonance with you.

On this record, I did pretty much everything. I wrote the songs, arranged them, recorded them in my home studio, and mixed them down for mastering and duplication. The only person on this record other than me, is my dear friend, and great player, Mr. Ted Ludwig, who appears as a guest on “Dance with me”, where he delivers a gorgeous tenor sax track.

He also plays the soprano sax solo on “Your road”. A funny thing - Ted came to my house to record the solo and it sounded great! When he finished laying down the track and left, it was a long time before I ever got around to mixing it, and the more I listened to it, the more I thought “we need more of Ted riffing on his soprano sax in places other than just the solo”, but by that time, Ted had moved to Texas . . . . . . so I had to put ‘em in there myself, folks! I found a soprano sax patch (musician term for a sound or sample on a synthesizer), and voila! Now it’s not Ted - but at least I tried to keep it in the background :)

There is a certain sense of feeling exposed when you post music that you’ve worked so hard on and care so deeply about, but to this point, the response from those who have cared to comment has been overwhelmingly positive, and for that I’m very grateful. Some fairly strong views are sometimes expressed in my songs (especially some coming up in sftnrv2), and I would like to emphasize that I am merely sharing my perspective - my lyrics are not meant to offend anyone . . . . . well, maybe sometimes they are :)

If you like my music, please help me spread the word. Any comments are very much appreciated (especially the good ones, but I take the bad ones as well), and can be directed by posting to my BandPage at www.facebook.com/thenewrabble, or you can email me at hal@thenewrabble.com. Visit my website at:

I really hope you like my tunes.
