A native son of Buffalo, New York, Tom started playing drums at the the age of 5. Tom's formal education began with a scholarship at Boston's Berklee School of Music, where he frequently returns as a guest lecturer. After years of touring and performances with many of the biggest names in the business (Chuck Berry, Roy Buchanan and many more), Tom set his sights on Nashville where he lives and works today as a producer, songwriter, and performer.
Since arriving in Nashville, Hambridge has enjoyed remarkable success with countless songs being used in major motion pictures, television and by many legendary recording stars including: Buddy Guy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Montgomery Gentry and Johnny Winter. Tom wrote four songs on Delbert McClinton's Grammy award winning CD, "The Cost of Living". He also received the 2007 ASCAP Song of the Year for co-writing Keith Anderson's smash hit "Every Time I Hear Your Name". Other projects involve producing a star-studded group of musicians including Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks and Robert Randolph on Buddy Guy's CD, 'Skin Deep' released in July, 2008. In 2009, Hambridge was in the studio producing the one and only B.B. King. In 2011, Tom received another Grammy nomination, plus a win, for Buddy Guy's 'Living Proof' album. This would be the first of 2 Grammy wins for Hambridge, his 2nd coming in 2016 for his work on Buddy Guy's 'Born To Play Guitar' album. Tom has also produced artists Devon Allman, Foghat, Joe Louis Walker, Royal Southern Brotherhood and James Cotton, just to name a few.
