Album Notes
2005's Super Villain marks the first official release by Hank El Diablo for Nuclear Asterisk Records. Blurring the lines between dark rock, gothic blues, apocalyptic lounge, murderous hillbilly and savage post-punk, Hank shares his unique vision of random chaos and love gone bad. Real bad. Sarcastically decadent and sinfully delicious.

The Cast:
Hank El Diablo: Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards and Bass
Brian Jenkins: Drums

Official Release Date: 9/27/05

Devil's Right Hand Man

Why isn't this the hottest thing in music?
This past Christmas a friend laid something on me that has quite frankly chaged everything I thought about today's music scene. I'm not sure where this guy came from, but he is sorely needed in the music biz. After being sold a candy-assed version of what music is supposed to be for at least the past 10 years, it's a relief to FINALLY get something that feeds that insatiable desire to break out of the norm and really hear something that is truely different and dark. I think this album will blow up in 2006 and this artist might take over what is now a sad state of affairs in the music industry. If you are buying CD's from the likes of The White Stripes or Queens of the Stone Age...and if you like your music a little darker and ALOT more real...spend a few bucks on this CD and maybe skip the $5 cup of coffee for a couple of days and give this recording a listen. If you too are tired of what's being sold to you as music, make a stand and give a real musician the chance to make it. The Tracks I liked the most were Henry the Devil and Fuckerhead and don't forget to listen to Take the Sky, The Red Glare and Happy Box. This is new music for the masses.

Wet Blister

Carnival of Mayhem off Route 666. BRILLIANT. Pleasantly DARK!!!
This latest release from a pile of Hank El Diablo's amazingly crazy masterpieces, is DISGUSTINGLY BRILLIANT. Each track weaves in and out of the human psyche creating a tight quilt which hugs and manipulates your mind in the most dirty and sweetest of ways. When the Album ends, you won't know which way is up or down. Key tracks that put the nail in the coffin as far as one of the most entertaining albums you will ever hear are: SNAKEMAN, HENRY THE DEVIL, and my own personal favorite, A HOOKER AND A CLOWN. This is only one chapter in the saga of HENRY. I can only suggest that you find their previous releases to fully grasp what is known to us as HANK EL DIABLO. If it is the dark hounding vocals, scorching twang of the guitar, carny-like breaks, and sinister arrangements you crave to get you through your twisted little days, then SUPER VILLIAN by Hank El Diablo is your smack for ages. An endless cure to your jones. Bury your Bibles and indulge.
