ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Here is the first full length album available by the beloved Bay Area Americana trio, The Harkenbacks. Appalachian inspired urban folk heroes, Sister Corry Jo and Brothers Paul and Jeremiah sing songs that will make you smile, dance, swoon and cry. This CD of mainly original songs features the intrepid trio along with some of their good friends adding additional flourishes to their road tested, well-honed tunes; a wonderful expansion on their live show, this CD features additional flavors of drums, banjo, harmonica, pedal steel and even a French horn solo all recorded to analog tape in Oakland, California.

Meandering through genres such as country, bluegrass, folk and blues, this album offers a variety of songs for a variety of moods. The Harkenbacks invite you to blast this music from your kitchens and porches, from your cars and iPods. Just please be friendly about it, since that's the Harkenbacks way.
