ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Rusty Milne is a jack of all trades, and a master of none. After beginning his musical career as a punch-line heavy battle MC way back in 2000, his evolution through several projects (RaptInPlastick, Kosher Haungi Soundsystem, Injured Ninja, Ham Scraps, Ground Down and Dirty Symbiot) that have taken him from MC to metal frontman to songwriter and producer, have led to the tapestry of sound that Harvey Fresh is today. Taking Influences as diverse as The Grateful Dead, Dj Shadow, Mr Bungle and Dirtyphonics, the Harvey Fresh sound is as varied as it is intense. Like the sounds of a 5 year old with the remote control in hand, flippantly changing channels at a whim, genres are chopped and change with a moments notice.

Co-founder of the Pineapple Lounge and Broken Technology collectives, Rusty has also been very involved with pushing other Perth acts forward, acting as the promoter for the Pineapple Lounge and My Beat is Broken shows, helping unknown producers and Dj's get their music from the bedroom to the stage. Whether working vocally with Fusion Six (Bouncy Tent, released 2010), collaborating with ex-bandmate Jake Steele as "Dirty Symbiot" or pushing along his own sound for Harvey Fresh, just know that wherever his fingerprints end up, the unique A.D.D. style of song writing and unmitigated passion will always shine through.
