Album Notes
Hey, thanks for checking in! A little background: I grew up in the plateau-heeled shadows of ABBA in the land of birch trees and pickled herring (well, and yes IKEA!!) Got my start playing our out-of-tune stand-up piano for my grandma when I was a kid and could barely reach the keyboard, then began writing songs at 10 (really silly ones, all lost to human kind thankfully), had a bunch of bands in high school and college. Always loved 10cc, Jeff Lynne and ELO. Of course Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid also scarred me for life. The road eventually led to Hollywood and collaborations with some truly wonderful musicians who shared their talents and skills. I’ve always enjoyed the songwriting process and celebrating life to the fullest. So while the blood rushes through my veins, I pray. For peace, for goodness, for generosity, for hope, for the moment, for love. And especially, for the miracle of wings. Hope you find something in my songs to enjoy!

For the joy of living another day, thanks for listening!

I am a very big fan of Bounce The Ocean because with their debut album (Bounce the Ocean) they delivered a pop masterpiece. Sadly, they didn't release another record. So, when I heard Hawk Björn was about to deliver his own solo album (after 20 years!) the expectations were very high. Not only because of so many great memories of its "predecessor", but also because many comebacks often underestimate the fact that time has passed and try to repeat their past success by only repeating themselves in a thought that what worked once, will do again, no matter how much time passed. True must be said, this also made me fear another failure.
How wrong I was. This record is absolutely marvelous. Astonishing. Fabulous. Because it has all the good things that made me love Bounce The Ocean, plus some other ones. First of all, the melodies are beautiful. Of course the vocal harmonies are unique and delicious. And the sound, although not common in an age where beat, synths and processed voices are in front of anything else, is still modern. Don't know how to explain it: you've got to hear it for yourself.
In short: this is a MUST BUY for everyone that misses records done by craftsmen of music. Not a single note is out of place. All songs are worth it, so get the full album. You'll greet yourself.
Welcome back, Hawk. Thank god, you haven't lost your touch. Hope to hear from you very soon.
