ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
She's young. She's vivacious. She's singing. She has a melodic way of connecting with God and then connecting with her listeners. Since she was four years old, she has sung lyrics to glorify her Creator. The music that is inside her comes out with adoration for her Saviour. The worship she freely gives to Jesus Christ is reflected in every note of music she sings.

She's compassionate. She's adorable. She's making music. At the age of seven, she wrote her first song and recorded it on a cassette tape with a Playskool recorder. This single recording says, "Jesus is watching and He has His hand over me" and reveals how she has lived her life and how she has built her faith. She wants all of you to know that Jesus is watching over you, too.

She's kind. She's loveable. She's fun. She is all of these things to everyone she meets no matter what season of life they are experiencing. At 16, she has a wealth of knowledge about trust, grace, hope, and peace. But most of all, she knows about the love of God and shares this great love in her debut project, "Seasons of Change". Her desire is that you will be changed by her music.

She's talented. She's bright. She's free-spirited.

She's.......

It's great to hear an original artist in the CCM genre who doesn't sound like everyone else. Hayley Masters knows how to write a catchy worship song, how to craft a melody, and she's got a great, distinctive singing voice that's pleasant and can be both soft and strong. The album features totally pro production; there's healthy dose of sonic beeps and boops while washy drum machines get songs like "Beautiful! Beautiful!" revved up. When that song really kicks in, there's a small gospel choir that accompanies the rocking piano-led ballad. Another nice touch is the unexpected chord changes on the chorus of songs like "Giving it All" and the chorus' vocal shift on "Sanctuary", which is reminiscent of Nicole Atkins' melodic sensibility. The Rhodes and organ-led soul help make "Redeem My Days" another winner; it's nice to hear her top-notch band get to lay back and groove. Little things like these make these singable songs infectious and engaging. As both a songwriter and a band leader, Hayley Masters is clearly a talent to be reckoned with.
