Headband Jack draws influence from the Laurel Canyon tradition, weaving folk, rock, and old country into ten diverse tracks in their debut album, Big Dipper. Recorded at Edie Road Studios, Edited by Marc Fuller, Mastered by Paul Gold , Produced by Headband Jack.
The band hails from Saratoga Springs in Upstate New York, an area rich in history and music. The five piece incorporates acoustic, electric, mandolin, slide guitar, harmonica, keys and a range of percussion into their act, along with a steady dose of melody and vocal harmony. Headband Jack's songwriting is wrought with storytelling, each tune devising its own tale set against a lost American landscape.
The band is touring and recording in earnest, expecting to release a second full album in early to mid 2013.
