"Letters From War" is a heartwarming song about a soldier who goes off to war and while away, corresponds with his mother. In one letter, she learns that he has been captured and taken prisoner. Knowing that even though her son has been taken hostage, she continues to write to him for two years. One day a car pulls up in the driveway and, fearing the worst, she drops to her knees. She realizes that it is her son walking towards her and he is holding all of her "Letters From War".
Heather's performance is angelic. You can feel the love, heartbreak and eventually joy that this mother experiences. This song speaks to us now as many families have been separated, and all in this great nation can easily identify with this mother and her love for her child who is fighting for the very freedoms we hold so dear.
"I am so very proud and honored to have recorded this song and for being involved with Freedom Alliance. This is a song about hope and love. I pray this song will help an amazing cause and show our fighting men and women that we love and support them. That we haven't forgotten them or their families - that's my hope!" - Heather
The proceeds from this song will be going to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. Below is a quote from Tom Kilgannon, the President of Freedom Alliance
