ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This music was created in an atmosphere of joy and worship, and influenced by prayers for beauty and peace. The Psalms have brought solace to many who seek answers, and here they are offered up in a musical setting, as they were originally meant to be experienced. The particular ones chosen came from intuitive yearnings, hidden connections and the beauty of nature wanting to be expressed in praise.

Yvonne Bruner, vocalist and lyricist, began her career with the avant garde band Big Hat. They toured the country playing festivals such as SXSW, CMJ, and Lollapalooza, and were known for having alternative instruments such as five string electric violin, trumpet and congas. Big Hat produced 5 full length CDs of original music. After Big Hat, Yvonne has continued to create music with such diverse bands as X-feline, a cello and bass driven band, to Memory Drawings, a UK band featuring hammered dulcimer, strings, bass and guitars.

Aaron Burnstein, guitarist and vocalist, is a classically trained guitar player, beginning his musical career playing rock and roll, blues, and jazz. Aaron has a background in teaching therapeutic guitar lessons and musical accompaniment for Synagogues. Currently, Aaron plays for Kabbalat Shabbat services at Oak Park Temple, and other spiritual services in the Chicagoland area.

Sweeter Than Honey
Beautiful, spiritual music that can speak to people from different religious and non-religious backgrounds. Their ethereal and sweet harmonies are backed by great guitar playing. The perfect backdrop to meditating, relaxing, and spiritual practices. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely beautiful
I was fortunate enough to work with Yvonne and Aaron designing the album cover. Everything that went into this production was sincere, thoughtful and meaningful. The music is simply gorgeous and spiritual without being "religious". It will be approached by any person of faith and hope. I look forward to working with them as their artist in the future.

Simply Heavenly!
I bought a copy of this CD from one of the musicians and just loved it, so I bought another and gave it to friends. Yvonne's voice is something special, and harmonizes so nicely with Aaron's voice and magical guitar playing. The music bridges the gap between Judaism and Christianity - forget all the conflicts and arguments and just listen to the music and soar on the wings of the angels. That's what I think!
