Album Notes
Based out of Victoria, BC, Helloseptember is a 4 piece, harmonious Pop/Rock ensemble. Driven by dual guitar melodies and a thundering rhythm section, the band consists of Tyler Paterson on lead vocals and guitar, Paul Shenton on backing vocals and lead axe, Jacob Bentley on bass guitar, and Calvin Paterson on drums. Through building their songs upon a strong sense of energy and nostalgia, the outcome is always a sincere performance. In a time where originality seems hard to come by, Helloseptember challenges themselves to create a distinctive sound.

Previously, as a 3 piece Pop/Punk band, Tyler, Jacob and Calvin placed 3rd in Youthink Magazine’s “BC’s Best Teen Band Competition.” It was a learning experience and caused them to re-evaluate what direction they wanted to pursue. After some contemplation, they decided to deviate from the power-chord infused Pop/Punk sound to something more technical and unique. Now, with yet another name change and the introduction of Paul to the mix, the sound has become more intricate and melodic without losing the edge.

Having played a handful of shows around Victoria, Helloseptember has quickly become addicted to the euphoria of performing their music live. They now seek to expose their music to a wider audience - playing wherever they can, to whoever will take time to listen. The road ahead is long and winding, but music is a passion they all share and they show no signs of slowing down.
