What a fantastic live DVD!
It was awesome to be able to watch the virtuosity of this artist as I was hearing it. This is NOT one of those overly produced, psyco-trip-a-delic home made basement tapes and it is NOT one of those overly polished corporate make-it-perfect, homogonous inventions. What it IS, is a true life snapshot of Brian playing a show. Competently produced yet benevolently left alone. It is apparent that the creators of this DVD are more interested in showcasing a brilliant performer than they are about advancing their own individual agendas. It is warm, glowing and alive. The camera work was excellent and it was a treat to be able to hear the stories predicating each song before Brian performed them, it was almost like being there. Having seen Brian perform live before, I feel this DVD does a great job capturing the essences of what makes his music and his performances so magical.
