ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Herb Conway is a veteran of rock groups from the late 60's through the early 90's, including an eleven year stint
with "Ambusch" based out of Little Rock. During the 90's, he was a member of the Agape Praise Band (Agape Church)
and various other Christian music groups. After moving to South Florida in 1997, he took a sabbatical from the music scene, but is now back with renewed inspiration.

Today, he presents the first cd of his own music - "Start The Fire". Is it jazz, or rock, or blues, or praise music?
Yes, all of those. It was created with the intent of not limiting the musical gospel message to a particular style.
Throw away preconceived notions of how Christian music should sound and let each song speak to your spirit.

Superb !!!!
I am giving this First CD only 4 stars. Why only 4 - because there will be more to follow and each one will be even better than the one before – that is Herb Conway’s style.
The combination of musical styles requires the listener to throw out any and all previous conception of what religious or contemporary Christian music is supposed to sound like. Singularly unique is the best description I can use for this release.
This first release will be serve as a benchmark and springboard for other musical works – I know additional tracks are currently somewhere between his head, paper, the keyboard and guitar strings.
In the “Special Thanks” portion of the CD lyric page, Herd references his wife, bride and best friend, Tracey acknowledging his love and appreciation for her support and encouragement. It is we, the listeners that also say a Thank You for Herb’s endurance in making this wonderful production. To me what makes this collection so wonderfully unique is when you read Production comments. This entire CD is solely a one-man production. One person, several instruments, and with One focus.
I have known this man for more years than either of us would wish to make public and my knowledge of his work and work ethic will result in ever more superb sounds in the future. To my knowledge this work was originally started in 1995, and oh so well worth the wait.
With a sincere Thank-You – well done young man, well done!

2,5,7,10, theses tracks were just so so out of place with the rest of th cd. Tracks 1,3,4,6,8,&9 were awesome. Id buy cd for just theses songs. Id like to see him get together with George Benson, Earl Klugh, Harvy Mason. Bob James & David Beniot & Micheal Mcdonald on vocals.thi would be a awesome cd.
