El grupo Ballet Folklórico de los Hermanos Ayala fue creado por Don
Castor Ayala a instancias del Sr, Milton H. Lerch hace 40 años atras.
El Ballet Folklórico Hermanos Ayala, uno de los grupos folklóricos más
importantes de Puerto Rico,se compone de 17 percusionistas, bailarines
y cantantes que deleitan al público con los distintos ritmos de Bomba de
Loíza, como el Seis Corrido y Corbé, entre otros. El grupo conserva
muchas canciones que se han transmitido de generación en generación
en Loíza en los 40 años de su historia, El Ballet de los Hermanos Ayala
ha actuado en casi todos los festivales y auditorios de Puerto Rico y el
mundo así como en la televisión.
La música y el baile de Bomba tienen sus orígenes en los pueblos y
aldeas de las costa de Puerto Rico como Loíza (en la costa norte).
En su mayor parte, las familias que viven en Loíza son descendientes
de esclavos que trabajaban en los ingenios. Los ritmos distintos del
tambor de bomba y las canciones que los acompañan siguen siendo
el vinculo más fuerte con las tradiciones africanas en Puerto Rico hoy
en día. El Barril de bomba, en sí,se deriva directamente de África.

Ballet Folklórico de los Hermanos Ayala ( Ayala Brothers Folkloric Ballet) was founded by Mr. Castor Ayala in an instance on Mr. Milton H. Lerch 40 years ago. The ballet is one of the most important groups of folkloric dance in Puerto Rico. It is composed by 17 percussionists, dancers, and singers that please the audience with the distinct rhythms of Bomba form Loíza, like Seis Corrido and Corbé. The group is the guardian of many songs that have being transmitted through generations in Loíza in all this 40 years of history. They have performed in almost every festival and auditorium in Puerto Rico and the world.
The music and dance known as Bomba has his origins in the towns around the coast of the island. Most of the inhabitants of this towns are descendants of African slaves . The rhythm of the Bomba drums and the lyrics of the songs are still the most strong attachment to the African roots in the island. The Bomba barrel (Barril de Bomba) comes directly form Africa.
