HESSLER is a Chicago based, female fronted heavy metal band boasting a deadly twin guitar attack. Since the release of the Bad Blood E.P. in 2011, HESSLER have toured nationally and released five music videos. 2012 performances including SXSW & Rocklahoma shaped the band for their first full-length album "Comes With the Territory”. After the album release on November 27, 2012, the band embarked on a U.S. Tour in support.
A return to SXSW 2013 kicked off a new month long U.S. Tour followed by a return performance at Rocklahoma w/ Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, Korn, and many more. In 2013, the band took home the Chicago Reader award for "Best Metal Band". HESSLER provided music for the first documentary on legendary wrestler “The Dynamite Kid” Tom Billington.
Following a successful series of summer festive performances, a new music video was released through Revolver Magazine.
After completing a 25 show coast-to-coast U.S. tour, HESSLER brought in a new lead singer, San Antonio native and 2012 X-Factor contestant, Jessikill. A classically trained singer, Jessikill was a perfect fit for HESSLER's personality and sound. After recording new material, the band released a new single/video to worldwide positive reviews which was followed by a tour with the new line up.
A new E.P. and first release with new singer Jessikill, titled 'Ghost Dance," is slated for a June 10th release. The band will embark on the Ghost Dance Summer Tour, during which they will be playing for the first time in Oregon, Washington, Montana and North Dakota. A second leg will follow at the end of July covering the Eastern U.S. and the band's first time in Canada.
HESSLER have performed at SXSW and Rocklahoma in 2012 and 2013, Summerfest in 2012, and shared the stage with Slash, Buckcherry, All That Remains, Steel Panther, W.A.S.P., Sebastian Bach, RATT, Mushroomhead, U.F.O., Cinderella, Loudness, Doro Pesch, U.D.O., Skid Row, L.A.
