ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Brian Caldwell

Lead vocals / rhythm guitar / bodhran. Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Brian Caldwell has been on the move much of his adult life. After graduating as an Electronic Engineer, specializing in sound at Scotland's prestigious Strathclyde University, he toured Europe then headed round the world and landed in San Diego County. Brian is an enthusiastic and energetic singer / songwriter and guitar player currently playing with the Celtic Duo, 'Clachan Boys', running his own studio and producing under the ‘Highland Way Productions’ label. He's played with some of Celtic's best musicians including 'Alasdair Fraser', and ‘The Cameron Brothers’.

Paul Graham Castellanos

Lead Fiddle / mandolin / banjo/ bass and anything with strings. Where would the band be without the unique instrumentation of Paul Graham Castellanos? Paul's roots in music go back many generations through the Midwest, and beyond to Scotland and Ireland. Paul's Grandpa Graham encouraged him as a youngster to play fiddle and Paul's now been playing fiddle and mandolin for over 30 years. Somewhere in that time he also picked up guitar, bass, banjo and keyboards. Having played the ‘Grand Ole Opry’ Paul's an accomplished song writer and arranger. He’s shared the stage with 'The Chieftains', 'The Young Dubliners', 'Blended Spirits', 'Ken O' Mally', and regularly performed in LA's oldest Irish Pub, Molly Malone's, with 'Garrison White', and 'Glen Cornick', original bass player for 'Jethro Tull'. He's also opened for 'The Wolftones', 'Willy Clancy and Tommy Makem', and 'Billy Connelly'.

Richard Gordon Heinz

A superb vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Richard is also an accomplished song writer, studio musician and dynamic performer. His robust vocals and melodic bass have energized national audiences for decades with a variety of bands including ‘The Heroes’, ‘West Coast Iron Works’, ‘Nimbus’ and ‘The Push’. But it is his love of his ancestral roots that call him to the realm of Celtic music.

Heloise Love
Heloise Love has been a San Diego performer for almost ten years. First as a folk singer and in more recent years as a Celtic music performer. When not busy performing with Highland Way, she is a featured performer on three CDs and has also released a solo project, ‘Song for the Mira’.
