Album Notes
Howard Livingston is a native of Kentucky, where he lived until approximately age12. Due to trouble within the coal mining industry, where his father was employed, the family moved to Marion, Indiana. Howard’s mother taught him to play the guitar at the age of 3. During his teen years, Howard played in a band called the Juveniles.

The Juveniles were not your average teen band. They became Marion, Indiana’s answer to the Beatles. They opened their own teen club, bought their own bus, and ended up as opening act for the Who. At the age of 18 Howard left Marion to attend a trade school in Chicago. Although he made the decision to end his music career and concentrate on a business career, his guitar never left his side.

While on vacation in Key West, Howard was smitten with a severe case of “Keys Fever.” For the next fifteen years, he spent every available minute in the Keys, learning to dive, snorkel, and lobster. Eventually, he was able to move to the Keys, which is when he started the band, Mile Marker 24.

Mile Marker 24 became the chosen name of the band because of its location, which is relatively central to the location of the band member’s homes. Everyone is a local.

Howard Livingston is a singer/songwriter living in the Florida Keys.

In 2005 Howard plunged back into the music scene with the release of his new CD Livin’ On Key West Time. The response has been remarkable. All songs on the CD were written by Howard and when you listen to it you can understand where his heart is. He is an island boy. In 2006 Howard released his second CD, Meet Me In The Keys. The story continues.

One of the best CD's ever
This CD is absolutely awesome. Enjoyed every song. I think I now know where kokomo is.

Great CD!
Love the second CD just as much as I love the first, so glad that I bought it. When I listen to the songs it brings back all my fond memories of the Keys!

The easiest "easy listening" music I own!
I used to live in Key West thanks to the Navy. I never lost my love for that island. Meet ME IN THE KEYS instantly brings me back each time I play it. It's a great CD and a lot cheaper then a plane ticket.

i recently was in the keys and was turned on to the group when i was cocktailing at the pier house tiki bar, and the local country station was giving the new cd away. the cd reminds when i am not in the keys and in wisconsin why i want to go back. he may not be for everyone, but once they go to the keys they will understand the cd. also is there any more cds by this group.

Can't do it in 10 or less....
CD is like being in the Keys. Brings back great memories of our recent trip to Key West! Everyone who goes to Key West should get a copy to bring home....

If you would like to escape to the tropics Meet Me In The Keys will get you ther
If, like me, you like to periodically do a mental escape to the tropics, you will most likely enjoy Met Me In The Keys. This is my second Howard Livingston album, and like the first, did not disappoint.

In in the Keys every day...
Listening to the great sounds of Howard Livingston & MM24 puts me back in the Keys every single day. Sitting in Dallas traffic I pop in the CD and imagine I'm driving down US1 or at home I listen and imagine I'm at one of the great places in Key West enjoying a cold drink and don't have anywhere to be. Last time we were in the Keys we went out with Looe Key Dive Center and they played MM24's music... it was awesome... then stop in the Looe Key Tiki Bar... this CD is a MUST for your collection.

I have been waiting on someone else to take me back to the islands!!!! Guess what They have done more than that!!!! I want to go back to KEY WEST and live!!!! Thanks Howard & the mile marker 24!!! for making me feel like I am back home!!!

My new favorite song is I like The Islands
When we were visiting Key West in March I heard songs playing in a store where I was shopping. I browsed slowly so I could hear the music, I finally asked what they were playing and they steered me to Meet Me In the Keys. It is a wonderful CD not a song on it I don't like. I especially like I like The Islands which drew me to it, but where Bananas grow is so cute. I want to live where bananas grow!! and where the heck is Kokomo??

Doesn't get better than this
My wife and I met them on a boat while they were waiting to offload their equipment for the evening concert on a floating dock. (they stole our seats!! :) Just kidding!!!) After we started to talking to them, they were such down to earth generally warm people and we ended up getting all 3 of their CD's. After we were listening to them on the way home...we wanted to go right back to the Keys and never leave. They all know how to bring the islands to you, no matter your location!
Since then we've been to their performances in the midwest and they are never a dissapointment.
Thanks for the great music and friendly smiles ever time we see you.
