ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Howard has done it again! I'm Living On An Island is Howard's fourth CD of all original music! If you love the islands, trop rock music, and the sound of the tropics, you'll love Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band!

Howard and the band have been seen on ABC's Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, NBC's The Today Show, and with Samantha Brown on Passport to a Great Weekend on the Travel Channel. They were awarded "Band of the Year", "CD of the Year" for this CD, "Song of the Year" for the title song, and "Entertainer of the Year" during the Margarita Mafia Trop Rock Music Awards, which took place at Meeting of the Minds in Key West FL in November 2009.

This album is a story of Howard's days in the Florida Keys. He writes from his heart and tells a story with each song.

I'm Living On An Island includes a nautical ballad called "The Vandenberg" about a World War II troop transport ship. This ballad is dedicated to all the soldiers around the world who keep America free. The ship, The Vandenberg, was sunk off the coast of Key West in May 2009 as an artificial reef.

This album has it all - and as the fourth album of all original music, it proves once again that Howard's music can touch us all.

I'm Living on an Island
We have all of the Mile Marker albums we love them all. This on grows on you. Very relaxing. We just ordered the DVD and can't wail till it arrives. We saw this group last year at the Key West boat show. And can't wait to see them in person again. No doubt we will be buying all of there cd's.

GREAT CD
WOW! I was blown away by the great variety of music on this CD. Salsa, Ska, and great trop-rock! This CD is fantastic. I truly wish I had found this artist years ago - he's become my favorite! Howard - if you read this - I think you are fantastic!!

I'm Living on an Island
I love this album just like all the others by Howard and the band. Great music and it always reminds me why I love Key West so much. I had the opportunity to see the band recently at the theatre on Duval Street -- what a wonderful experience and opportunity. Jenny Hollar Young
