Album Notes
Sincere, potent, and passionate late 70's/early 80's "new wave" influenced rock with an early Elvis Costello or Joe Jackson feel.

Sweet Lou

Wes writes good songs! No question! He's a great guy, and good friend as well. All extra's aside that I could provide, "Playing Favourites" combines all the great POP ROCK elements that have come before, with the great POP ROCK records that haven't been made yet. Wes will give you that GREAT record you've been waiting for, but haven't heard yet, in the time to come. That's the confidence I've got in the man!

Wes - You and your band are great! This is a far cry from the "Dead Zone" (1988). Do you have any of those ancient tapes? I want to hear more - and I will be buying ALL of your stuff! Keep that late 70's/early 80's vibe alive!

A throwback to the New Wave era of the early 1980s,
Wes Hollywood reminds the listener of folks like
Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, and The Jam with catchy
melodies, clever lyrics, slightly crunchy rock-n-roll
guitars, piano, and pop hooks galore! Covering all the
usual topics of heartache, love gone sour or not at all,
et al -- a fine recording!
