Album Notes
Hooray! for Everything is an emotional rock band from Pittsburgh, PA. Spawning from the ashes of pop punk and alternative bands in Pittsburgh, four friends decided to come together musically, with the goal of doing something completely different. The name Hooray! for Everything comes from an episode of the Simpsons, and is a tribute to our enduring love of the show. The music however is a combination of each of our differing musical pasts.

We don't like to describe our style in terms of a specific genre, because we feel that limits us. Our music combines elements of alternative, punk, emo, folk, and classic rock and our only goal musically is to play what we feel. The music itself is extremely emotional, a personal expression from all four members. The songs weave tales of broken hearts and honest life experiences through beautifully melodic songs crafted with loud guitars, crushing rhythms and passionate vocals. The music draws more from feeling than anything else.

Through its brief history the band has endured several lineup changes but we feel the current lineup is the strongest and the best representation of the sound we wish to create. The members: Bill Oates- vocals/guitar, Evan Neel- guitar/vocals, Jason Dignon- drums and Nick Disaia- bass, share an interesting chemistry and we each challenge each other musically and we feel that forms our unique sound. As for the future, we try not to look that far ahead. We're content to enjoy ourselves day to day, giving all we have at our shows and hopefully making a connection with our audience. And hopefully, we'll continue to make music together for a long time.

a great set of fantastic, spacious and epic songs. unfortuantely album suffers from lo-fi production that does not benefit the band\'s lush sound. in the unlikely event of a reunion show for this band, listeners are highly recommended to attend. Trandscends the emo-pop style that was just coming into its own at the time of this recording to evoke bands like my bloody valentine, firs-album boston, and mid-career flaming lips as well as genre touchstones like sunny day real estate, weezer, and mineral.
