ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It's been eleven years of shear anticipation and patiently waiting by fans for the release of Horace's fourth album. Keep Walking has arrived, and so has its personal producer and publisher, Horace Trahan. The CD is Horace's first under his own publishing company and ownership. The title, Keep Walking, is as relative a motto for Horace as it is to all who experience life.

As a Cajun and Zydeco musician for over 18 years, Horace Trahan has never been a stranger to musically "raising the bar" and creatively thinking "outside the box". The talent and fearless heart he demonstrates is undeniably felt in each of his songs.

Since the release of his third album, That Butt Thing, with the New Ossun Express in 1999, Horace Trahan and his current band, the Ossun Express, are blazing musical railways locally as well as from coast to coast! Two original band members are still on board, Paul "Slim" Washington of Eunice, LA, and James Prejean of Lafayette, LA. New members of the Ossun Express include Rodney Bernard of Lafayette, LA; Daniel Sanda of Denver, CO; and Douglas Garb of New Iberia, LA. Special guest musician, Gerard Delafosse of Eunice, LA, is featured on the album only, delivering a host of banging drum tracks.

The combination of Horace Trahan and the Ossun Express is filled with musical magic and positive energy. Anyone attending a live performance of the band will attest to the fact that it's almost impossible to sit down since the good times roll contagiously with this express!

With that being said, Horace Trahan has learned that the key to success is to learn the business, stay true to who you are, give the fans what they like, and no matter what...................Keep Walking!

one of those rare cd's....
A rare treat, a cd where ALL the songs are good!! Everything you could ask for, from traditional cajun stylings, to upbeat social commentary. Add a reggae influence here & there, season with that sweet Baffetti sound , and you get a tight, guaranteed to get yout feet moving package. Seems to me when you find an artist that respects tradition, but is not bound by it, the music is just that much better. Check out track 11 & you'll see what i'm talking about. Eleven years might have been a long wait, but, well worth it.
