ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Ed Hosharian Band was formed in the 1960’s by the late Edward
Hosharian--a prominent musician/composer in the Armenian Community. Since Ed\'s passing in 1990, his two sons, Greg and Peter, carried on the
tradition of Armenian folk music and created what is now called The
Hosharian Brothers Band.

Based in Los Angeles County, the Hosharian Brothers Band has performed and continue to perform Armenian and International music at a variety of occasions and venues.

Rather than producing a standard recording of traditional Armenian songs, this ensemble wanted to introduce a new sound that would compliment the diverse range of their music.

Electric Kef utilizes the band\'s eclectic musical background by blending traditional Armenian music with the style of progressive rock, jazz, classical and complex rhythms.

Enjoy!
