Beyond The Veil

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Brief Auto Bio

Ian Kalev Michaels was born in Bakersfield, California on October 1st, 1957 and lived in various parts of that state for the first 20 years of his life. With 3 older brothers who were all musically inclined, he got his first vocal and piano lessons at the early age of 4. At the age of 10, he was writing songs and received his first guitar at 12.
In High School, he was chosen to be listed in Who's Who in Music in American High Schools for his outstanding achievements recognized then by his High School Band and Choir Director.
At age 23, Ian was working on the east coast as a full time performer in restaurants and clubs. It was in 1982, at age 24 that a complete turn around set Ian on a new musical road. He left the clubs an began attending a church in Va. Beach where he led worship and began writing songs of a faith-based nature.
In 1986, he moved to Israel where he lived for 4 1/2 months learning Hebrew and playing for various events. While there, he had the opportunity to work as an actor for 2 Christian videos; one with Dallas Holm and the other with British artist Adrain Snell.
In 1992 , Ian attended the annual conference of Messianic Jewish Congregations and began assisting in the worship for various artists of that movement such as Paul Wilbur, Joel Chernoff, Marty Goetz and Barry and Batya Segal.
In '94, Ian took part in another music video where he was given a key role as the harmonica playing minstrel to open and close the footage of "Press On" by Billy Sprague.
In '96, Ian released "Beyond The Veil" with 14 originals superbly co-produced by Michael J. Nelson, the writer of the original 700 Club theme.
“Renaissance” is the instrumental project of another 14 originals released in December of 2012. Ian is currently working on a lyrical project entitled “Shelter” to be released in the spring of 2013.
Ian and his wife Nava currently reside in South East Missouri where they are the Congregation leaders for Beit Menuchah (“House of Restoration”), a Messianic Netzari Jewish fellowship.

ChaazaqaYah

Praise Yah for inspiring brother Michaels to write and compose "Beyond the Veil". My favorite is "Joy comes in the morning". Peace and Blessings Ba Ha Sham Yashua Ha Mashiach.

Ian Michaels 'Beyond The Veil' Prophecy
A few years ago, a leader of a Messianic Congregation told me that Adonai (God) had a calling for me to listen to Beyond The Veil from an artist named Ian Michaels. My life at that time was of full of melancholy, despair, and my heart was weak for it lacked the Holy Spirit. The first time I played Beyond The Veil I was able to find hope, and safety. Beyond The Veil offered me the most spiritual and unique sound that I had ever listened to. The lyrics from song after song led me to intensely weep. The innate piano instrumental, from JOY COMES IN THE MORNING will offer the Believer the feeling of HIS presence, and penetrate their heart’s, flowing deeply through their inner soul. The meticulous acoustics, dynamic percussions, robust bass lines, and conceptual and distinct progressions, that Beyond The Veil holds, creates a divine and soothing/energetic album that allow it to not compare with any other album that exists. Our spirit is flooded with Yeshua's omnipotent presence the entire album. The song STILLNESS brings tears to my eyes every time I hear the lyrics that are so richly full of vulnerability and desolation. "Can I come to You with my emptiness? Will You meet me there in the stillness?" When one is lost and afraid, but possesses faith that Adonai will assist and guide His people who truly have faith to safety and everlasting protection. All of the tracks are dynamic and diverse. We particularly are able to hear an array of various styles of sound from the tracks THE REASON, ERETZ YISRAELTO, and JUBILATION. Each will deliver pure meaning that the committed, and true Listener will find shelter and awareness of what is mandated for all Believers to ensue Beyond what is to come.
