ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Idlers are an eleven-piece ‘reggae circus’ from St. John's, Newfoundland, with a unique sound that comes from a love of reggae, ska and afro-beat, and peppered with their Atlantic influences. Their sophomore release "Keep Out", produced by Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer, takes the sound established by "Corner" and makes it tighter, heavier and highly danceable. Recorded in West Hurley, NY at the beautiful Dreamland Studios with Grammy award-winner sound engineer Phil Burnett and Pete Caigan at the controls.

"Opener "Wonderwars" features pulsating guitar, an ace horn section and tight musicianship ― no surprise from this well rehearsed 11-piece band." --Ronak Ghorbani, Exclaim

"(Wonderwars is) a socially aware tune that you can drink, smoke and dance to" --Alison Lang, The Coast

"The unique flavour is strong (...), making the distance from the Grand Banks to the Caribbean seem a whole lot shorter." --The Chronicle Herald
