Album Notes
Illlumina is a metal band hailing from the underground, metal scene of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their attitude and early 80's thrash influences, are surprisingly well conveyed on this DIY (Do It Yourself) album. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by guitarist Alex Lackey, on his laptop, in the basement of his home. All members, Otto Von Rado, Chelsea Whitney, Kelsey White, Alex Lackey, Leonard Montano and A.j. Paduano track outstanding performances here.

"The Black Guardian," is an ambitious mission statement, for a band that is determined to help revive the underground metal scene. It has the attitude and vibe of old school metal, while also offering something unique and refreshing to the metal community. This album is riffs, hooks and melodies galore. Highlights are "Suffer the Tragedy," "Surrender to the Fall," and "Songs of Suicide". "Man's Ruin," is an outstanding instrumental track, as well. Give this album a listen.
