ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Impressive Mess continues their 90's rock inspired sound with single 'Hollow Gold'. This is the first of two singles to be released from the Stage Red Recording Project that took place in the fall of 2012. This track also features former drummer and Swedish native, Tom Asvold, who has since returned home to pursue his own brand of music.

About the Band:
While residing amongst the fault lines of Southern California, Impressive Mess has cultivated a unique soundscape of heavy americana, grunge, folk, and blues-based rock and roll music since forming just a few years back. Having been described at times as gritty, melodic, punchy, eclectic, and “hook-rich”, the LA based band shows no limitations in their writing ability and style. And while fueled by the iconic influences of the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, Miles Davis, and Johnny Cash, the modern sounds of Beck, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Tool, and Primus also weigh heavily in IM’s approach to making music.
