ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is the second Improv Logic cd, made during my first year at PSU, a time of what should have been in the view of what was me at a time when growth was not fully unsparked, I seemed to wake up at Sunrise everyday, I could not return to slumber so I wrote about many different things, usually concerning frustrations with myself, sometimes I hated myself for being in love, and it was a growing year of affliction, but a productive one. This is the last cd I did some production for, and the first cd I started using Dusty's (Sir Realist) beats for improv logic rapping, more than half the beats are produced by him, the best songs on it, I will print more of this cd if it is desired. The part of life where insane was less distant but had not arrived.

Me and Dustin started making hip hop way back in the 10th grade, freestyling over the beats that he made with some friends of ours. About two years later I produced some beats and recorded my first album, Improv Logic, using Dustin's music as intros and outros to the tracks. I started doing some shows at this point, and a little more than 2 years after that I had stopped making my own beats and had two more cds out, Sunrise and The Weather, with my writing going over the music that Dustin makes (check out all of his other projects too, it will blow your brain). Some more shows helped us make a small place in the local scene, and we released another cd called Beats Madly On Bars, our latest invention. Our music is not within the norms of hip hop, but this is the best direction to go because these are norms that need to be broken. The focus needs to be less on image and more on content, less aesthetic appeal and more thought provoking writing, there is too much potential in this genre to keep making the same self-hyping shit that has already been done
