ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This passionate new CD, "El sueño de Tilopa," presents a perfection of the INCA sound through fifteen exciting, evocative, rhythmic songs composed by INCA director Guillermo Bordarampé and lead flute player Ulises Pineda. Their combined musical ideas conspire to create a rich and vibrant fusion of traditional South American rhythms, indigenous pentatonic scales and contemporary melodies. Ulises says, "Guillermo's new idea was a challenging task that required composing and arranging a series of songs that would bring both the freshness of a new concept and the beauty of the traditional Andean music.” It is a task well done. This CD is an exotic and deeply pleasurable triptych - a sonic delight artistically drawn from a colorful palette of musical imagery.
