Album Notes
This August 2008 release represents the 5th CD from veteran Rand B outfit Incognito. After more than 20 years of rocking club and festival audiences all over the Western Canada, this album represents the band’s first all original CD, including 10 new compositions from all four members, and a bonus track from longtime Incognito collaborator Jim Hewett.
Featured tracks include:
“The Long Way”[Conway/Montgomery]-a mid tempo gospel feel, featuring some stellar slide and dobro from band leader Robbie Montgomery, and understated, evocative vocal performance form Oliver Conway.

“Let’s Roll”[Conway/Montgomery] -a rocker in the Seger/Springsteen tradition, this song features Oliver in full voice, singing from the heart about long term love, and motorcycles.

“Best Lover”[Mayes/Lavin]-this rollicking blues rocker is a collaboration between drummer Darrell Mayes and ex Powder Blues writer and bassist Jack Lavin. Features a fine harp performance form Oliver and a fine performance on Wurlitzer piano from ex Long John Baldry Band
keyboard ace Pete Sweetzir.

“Suitcase Full Of Blues”-a bittersweet contemplation of a life lived on the rough side of the road. This track features a wonderful Rhodes piano from Daryl Havers of Brickhouse, and standout harp and
Guitar from Oliver and Robbie.

“Knight Street Strut” an infectious instrumental with an uptown New York groove from bassist B.O.B. Popowich,. Featuring in the pocket harp and guitar solos from Oliver and Robbie and great horns and solo sax from tenor man Dominic Conway.
