Sue McCreeth - Vocals, Piano & Guitar
Sue McCreeth is a jazz singer who has been universally acclaimed by the UK press as one of the most original, inventive and beautiful writing and vocal talents around. She has two critically acclaimed recordings, 500 miles high the air is blue and Just for Luxury (distributed by Proper Music).
Sue toured extensively around the the UK between 2002 and 2006 and received numerous press plaudits for her own original fusion songs, as well as her 'boldly punctuated' arrangements of contemporary jazz compositions. An impressive number of bookers also paid tribute to the way in which her passionate delivery of a Gershwin standard or a tribute to Nina Simone won over their audiences. Jazz Services supported and funded her touring for three years running, she sold out twice in one season at Live on the Park in London, and her appearance for the London Jazz Festival was a sell out.
In 2006, she disappeared from the limelight as promptly and emphatically as she had appeared in the first place. Infinite Sunday sees her return to the limelight stronger than ever; and as usual, lyrically and vocally captivating listeners, picking at the bones of human frailty with a gentle and concerned hand.
