ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
BORN OCTOBER 12,1940 IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN,INGRAM AT THE EARLY AGE OF 10 BEGAN LISTENING TO HIS MOTHER ON THE PIANO PLAYING SONGS FROM THE BOOK OF STANDARDS. THIS MUSIC HAD A GREAT EFFECT ON INGRAM AS HE GREW UP. AS A TEENAGER DURING THE FIFTY & SIXTY'S WHEN MOST OF HIS FRIENDS WENT INTO R&B (MOTOWN)INGRAM WAS LISTENING TO THE MUSIC OF NAT COLE, FRANK SINATRS,AL HIBBLER, ARTHUR PRYSOCK AND BILLY ECKSTINE.

IN LISTENING TO THE STYLE AND PRESENTATION OF INGRAM'S SINGING, YOU WILL HEAR A STRONG CONNECTION BETWEEN INGRAM AND THE FORE MENTIONED.

" I DON'T WANT TO SOUND LIKE EVERY OTHER RECORDING THAT YOU MIGHT HEAR THESE DAYS, AND MY ATTEMPT MAY NOT SUIT EVERYONES EARS, BUT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MISS LISTENING TO SOFT RELAXING LOVE SONGS, TURN DOWN THE LIGHTS, POUR YOUR FAVORITE DRINK, PULL UP A CHAIR, KICK OFF YOUR SHOES, AND JOIN ME"
